Do we have some hint about Mithrun and Kabru as partners (to lovers or smth, anytime). I know it's hard because of Mithrun and his lack of desire… but… I read all and the extras but I can't not see maybe they would be a cool couple (more than they were on the dungeon)

I am being tempted..... I must stay strong and maintain my I don't talk about ships stance. (My one advice is that you don't need canon evidence to ship)

But speaking of canon partnership I think Mithrun and Kabru worked well in the week they had to stay as a duo, although it had lots of bumps along the way they managed to survive a lot that Laios party (with 3 people more) had trouble with.

I think it speaks a lot to how strong Mithrun is, but if Kabru wasn't so observant and caring Mithrun probably wouldn't have survived so well with his glossy hair.

Also, although Mithrun is described as having no desires we know it's possible to create new desires and Mithrun shows preferences in his own way even during the time he's in the dungeon, like how he tries to reason with the dungeon lords before going to harsher means or how he doesn't let Kabru hand feed him, so although forming meaningful relationships might be hard for him I don't think it's that much of an impossibility.

I'm working at the office today (home office I miss u...) so I don't have my supply of neatly organized dunmeshi chapters to add screenshots here but you can always reread chapter 61 and 62 to see them working together.

Thursday Thoughts

(POTENTIAL LOKI SERIES SPOILERS)

This new Loki series is creating some excellent Discourse that I'm not sure people have fully realized the power/potential of. Which is kinda surprising on this site of all places but hear me out:

"Who determines what's Right or Wrong and how is it okay for anyone to decide that for LITERALLY EVERYONE?!"

Yes! Good! Keep that thought! The writers are making some great points & some not-so-subtle social commentary, right?

"But, wait, predeterminism AND free will? Like you have it but we'll kill you if you use it?!"

Yup! Infuriating, right?! It's almost as if being bound by unspoken requirements and then punished for completely arbitrary reasons often beyond your own control is, perhaps, Not Good but also sometimes complicated and nuanced!

Plus, I wonder what the God of Mischief will do regarding this level of maintained order... It’s almost as if it’s a conflict written directly for his character to allow character growth as well as plenty of mischief and mayhem! Can’t wait to see what happens next!

Huh??? Seems to me like people are asking some Very Big Questions on a large scale. That's not a bad thing?! And it’s only the second episode so...?

Also, on a side note, it's invigorating to see all the fan theories coming out of this. It's like Marvel decided, "The fans complain that time travel breaks things and they want to overthink tiny details?! Then what happens if we... just..."

And next thing you know, it's 3am on a Thursday and my ass can’t sleep because, very specifically, "But why is she BLONDE?!?!?!" Suddenly it's 7am and my partner and I have both completely lost track of all time because we've been building fan theories together for hours. Which is AWESOME.

Finally, the music & sound effects are SO GOOD. It's the first time Marvel's music (the original stuff, anyway) has gotten stuck in my head to the point I can hum it. Meanwhile J's got the sound effects of the time-doors & charges ("specifically when they turn orange to purple and then when the mist goes off, you know?") stuck in his head. It's been a while since we've enjoyed a series this much, it's nice :)

PS: We replied to a few people earlier in the Loki spoilers tag regarding specific plot points & wanna be clear that we aren’t talking crap about any of you at all. Great points were brought up and we’re all just kinda guessing together, which is honestly great fun!!! These are the “invigorating number of fan theories” we mentioned above. But we’ve definitely seen quite a few posts where people are outright acting like having questions automatically means bad writing, or a plot point is automatically crap because it’s an antagonistic setup for the main character to disagree with, or whatever else. That’s just... huh?????

bro as someone with adhd this sounds very much like a hyperfixation? ik you've said you think you might have adhd, so if you do, maybe some of this will help you? this is mostly advice coming from experience tho

if you're trying to get rid of a hyperfixation, in my experience the best way to do it is so slowly replace it with something else. i, for one, scour the internet for cute male characters with neglectful parents, and start putting time into enjoying the fan work and original content of that topic, only occasionally darting back to my previous fixation before going back to the new one. if you like fanfics, boy do i have some recs.

but also keep in mind that while hyperfixations are kind of unavoidable, they aren't necessary unhealthy. they're only unhealthy when you find yourself consistently putting so much time into it that you neglect eating, sleep, your regular responsibilities, etc. that said, they can also provide a very important mode of escape for people. it's really up to you to figure out if you're being healthy about it or not. hope this helps!!

I mean, it might be, I don’t really know. I’m still tossing around the adhd theory a bit, and though I likely won’t talk to a psychiatrist at least until 2022, I’ll bring it up then to figure it out for sure.

I’m not really trying to get rid of my mcyt... let’s call it obsession, for now, bc I don’t wanna co-opt words that are meant for ND people (like, so many people call everything a hyperfixation nowadays, even things that certainly aren’t ones, and it’s diluted the meaning). I kinda just have lost interest in mcyt, and now that all my free time is no longer spent watching streams or videos, catching up on Twitter trends/notifications, answering the newest bit of drama to drop in the fandom, or scouring Tumblr for good art and fics, it’s just... very unfulfilling lmao. I just don’t have the same urge to be obsessive about it anymore. 

One of the best things about mcytblr to me was that I’d get so many asks or posts I wanted to reply to or direct replies, so I’d always get a chance to type for hours everyday about this thing I really loved, and I really fucking like typing and writing and articulating whatever point I was trying to get across. Plus, yk, the dopamine hit from making discourse/theory posts that’d get, like, 100 notes every hour was probably addicting in some sense. I never really had a social media addiction until I got into mcyt... I guess the addiction part was actualyl pretty much like how you described an unhealthy hyperfixation; like, I wouldn’t notice that I hadn’t eaten in a long time or that I had an appointment I’d missed/almost missed because of mcyt... 

Now, I still get the pull to check up on Tumblr, but there’s just nothing I want to fill up my time with when I’m on here, anymore. Doesn’t help that all the streamers I used to fucking love listening to at all hours of the day can’t grab my attention for more than a few minutes anymore...

Eh, so yeah, not really a matter of getting rid of the mcyt bug, more just that it’s already left over the course of the past month, and now I’m left feeling rather empty lol.

Character interaction tags all follow this format - “int:*characters name*(*optional nickname based on their blog name*)” With no spaces, no quotes, and no asterisks! For example, int:kaito(coolspaceguy) would be what I use if I was interacting with a Kaito who’s blog name is ask-a-cool-spaceguy ;0c

“promo” is used when I promo another blog! These posts to tend to be long just as a heads up!

“long post” is used when I feel a post is very long, length wise not reply wise. Do note that I don’t tag promo posts with this unless I reply to it after promo-ing it!

Blacklist tags I commonly use are as follows! To any Junko blogs that wish to interact: I have some unease around Junko blogs due to some minor trauma! Junko as a character is fine, however if I do not personally know you as a mod, I will have to decline interacting with your Junko blog! Sorry! Some OC blogs might get the same type of response, again due to the same minor trauma! For clarification though, if I do know the mod behind the blogs then I am perfectly ok with interacting!

I DO NOT interact with blogs that use stolen/uncredited fanarts/edits to rp with. If I recognize the sprite or notice you’re using fanart from google images, and do not see credit (Or a confirmation that you have permission to use said sprites/art without credit) in the bio or in a pinned post, I will halt interaction with you.

While Kaito knows a lot about space, I do not- I have to research in order to have Kaito talk about space things! That being said, sometimes in research you get a bad source, or you think you remember something correctly but it’s wrong! If I make Kaito give a not correct space fact, please don’t take it out on him! It’s just because I, the mod, made a mistake, not him. Feel free to correct me though!

yeah, i mean i have an issue with that whole ideology anyway, but on top of that, bringing unnecessary discourse into an unrelated and personal art post is just so nasty, especially considering the post in question was about how I identified as ace and bi/pan (plus my instagram (and here) is full of wlw art so ???), like they can’t even beg they didnt know, they just wanted to remind me that if i talked about how I was ace as well,then I needed to be put in my place. its a terrorising tactic. it’s gross af., especially with pride on our doorsteps. this is a time for solidarity not attacking other members of the lgbt+ community.

If you’re not interested in blog-style roleplaying, that’s alright. This Frisk is connected to the player known as Zenith (@xceancyes) so some lore stuff might happen on this blog if you want to follow along with online shenanigans.

• In any face to face interactions: if you start getting bored with the roleplay, feel free to drop it and/or end it. We can always start up another thread in the future.

• Please don’t over-pester me for replies. I promise I’ll get to them. Feel free to drop me a reminder after at least a week of no replies, though. In return, I usually give you a week too, unless otherwise specified in your own rules, until I remind you if it’s your turn to reply (or more often, I chicken out and trust that you’ll eventually respond/want to drop it and end up never bringing up that particular thread ever again). • I’m alright with roleplaying nsfw in general, minus smut. Gore, violence, and generally dark roleplays are cool with me. It should be, considering this is a genocide Frisk anyway. I love angsty things just as much as I love fluff ;w; Plus, their first instinct to seeing a monster now is to kill them, so they’ll probably fight any monster muses on sight. Speaking of gore, you’re more than welcome to fight/harm/injure my muse to any extent! You don’t even have to ask! If you want to do a rp where they die, however, please dm me first. (this rule is for f2f interactions)

• I prefer not to interact with personals. Personals in general are allowed to follow me though! However! Personals are not allowed to reblog roleplays, in character posts, or ooc posts especially if I say in the tags that I’m going to delete the post later. Only things that are tagged with my “reblogs” or “musings” or “art tag” tags are okay to reblog. Headcanon posts are not okay to reblog unless I say otherwise.

• Like spamming is okay! I very occasionally lose roleplays, and getting lots of notes from likes are never a factor for that, for me personally. If I lose a roleplay, it’s mostly just because I forgot, so that’s really a “me” thing. And I like it when people like my posts! It lets me know that you like my blog and the stuff I post, and it makes me happy :’)

• If you are an OC, I will assume our muses have never met unless you plan ahead with me what their relationship is like.

• That being said, characters who have already interacted in canon will know each other. Unless the roleplay takes place in a different point of time and we are staging their first meeting, of course.

• Frisk will be pretty meta sometimes. They are aware of who Players are (they’re definitely not fond of them considering what their’s made them do), and they know they live in the game world. Although they are not aware of alternate universes and things of that nature yet.

• Like I said above, Frisk is connected to the player known as Zenith. He was the player who controlled their adventure three years ago.

• Frisk is nonbinary on this blog. Although, I don’t care if you refer to them as a boy or a girl (Frisk has no preference). Their order of preference for pronouns is they/she/he, although they will definitely like you more if you use exclusively they/them pronouns. I respect all headcanons about Frisk’s gender, and same goes for any Krises and Charas. If you play a KFC kid, gendered or not, I will use the pronouns they want used, and I do hope that you use they/them pronouns for my Frisk. I personally will default to using they/them for other Krises, Frisks, and Charas unless specified on your blog. No discourse about this, please.

• Doubles are welcome to interact too! I’m also cool with interacting with and following multiple blogs who portray the same character other than Frisks as well!

• This blog will not have mains. Of course most of the monsters in their timeline are dead, other than Flowey, Asgore and Sans(?), and any monster who managed to evacuate.

• Regarding face to face interactions: I’m pretty lenient with short replies. Don’t feel pressured to match the length if my reply gets long! Multi-para (usually 2-5 paragraphs) is my go-to for roleplays, so I usually do long replies by default.

• Adding onto that, I honestly don’t mind one-liners. Of course, in crack/online roleplays it’s fine but I’m okay with it in serious roleplays too. I prefer it if you don’t give me one-liners, but hey, as long as I’m still having fun with the roleplay anyway, it’s cool with me! I understand not being able to think of anything to write, so just as long as you don’t give me one or two words as your reply like ‘He smiled.’ or ’*laughs*’, I’ll be cool with it. Put at least some effort even if you’re only gonna give me one sentence, otherwise I’ll drop the rp once it becomes a repeat offense.

• I will not change the formatting of my roleplays to fit yours. I’m comfortable with sticking to only paragraph style roleplays, thank you very much. Feel free to keep formatting your own posts though, because I think formatting looks really cool! I just don’t want to format my posts, however. I do not currently have any icons for this blog, and I will not go all out with formatting my own posts with all that cool ‘small text’, and indents, and bolding and all that. The most I ever do with my formatting is italics for emphasis on certain words.

• I tend to move f2f roleplays from asks onto its own post. If I send you an ask meme and you answer it, I’ll respond by making a new post, tagging you, and linking to your reply. Until formatting on asks are fixed, I will answer any asks sent to me in a new text post rather than asks.

• I accept any sort of asks! If they aren’t answered after a while, either I don’t know how to answer it or I might be drawing it out and I am a very slow artist- Sorry-

• Feel free to tag me in any of those tagging memes! I don’t mind and I think they’re pretty fun to do! ^^

Why would you even ship incest wtf?

I assume this is about shimadacest or something? 

i dont really care. I dont ship incest irl or think incest is ok or anything; but this is fiction so it’s just kinda whatever. Plus it’s consensual and also, because it’s fiction, some ppl have headcanons that they aren’t siblings.

It’s kinda like shooting people in videogames. It’s a videogame- it’s fictional so sure I’ll shoot that guy in the face but in real life I would never even touch a gun.

Anyway, I keep this blog hate free and will continue to do so, however, if you don’t like any ship, I tag them all. Only incest ship I have on this blog is Shimadacest, which is tagged as Shimadacest. Feel free to blacklist this via Tumblr Savior or xKit extensions. I am almost a little bit proud of how many notes the Ask I send you gained. (Discource Anon here who's seen it all I follow you from the shadows for a good 3/4-year i think.)
